Last year in September, two Kiwi futsal players took a leap — travelling to Japan to immerse themselves in one of the world’s most technical and fast-paced futsal environments.

In September 2024, I had the opportunity to take two Kiwi futsal players, Sarah and Bee, to Japan to train with Bardral Urayasu, one of the top futsal clubs in the country.

The Canterbury Pride U17 Futsal Girls team made an incredible mark by winning the Futsal National Championships, staying undefeated the entire way through. Their success came down to one thing, great teamwork. 

We’re kicking off the year with an exciting futsal holiday program this January! Futsal is rapidly becoming one of the fastest-growing indoor sports in New Zealand, attracting players of all ages and skill levels.
